Lera Packer Thomson, 94, of Rexburg, died at her home Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006. Lera was born Nov. 13, 1911, in Franklin, the daughter of James Manuel Packer and Lonetta Johnson Packer.

Natalie Weber of Bend is making an immediate impact with the women's golf team at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Weber, a 2006 graduate of Bend High School, has tied for the Weber State team lead in each of the Wildcats' two tournaments so far this fall.
